Robert Allan Stermer ran a red light on April 24, 2012, and broadsided my wife's 2007 Pontiac, at 5:30 pm at the corner of Highway 200 and SW 60th Ave. My wife was taking a right turn on a green arrow. The Pontiac was totaled and my wife was taken to ocala Regional Med Center and suffered severe contusions and neck/back problems and is receiving ongoing treatment. Mr. Stermer paid the traffic citation to the Ocala Police Department for running a red light and attended traffic school, in itself an admission of guilt. However, Mr. Stermer and his insurance company, Hanover Insurance, have refused to pay for the damages for my wife's vehicle and medical expenses. Endless stall tactics and the search for witnesses who will counter the traffic violation citation and state that Mr. Stermer did not run a red light have resulted my wife not being compensated for the loss of her vehicle. Is this the sort of man that you want representing you ? Such a fine, upstanding citizen ? Unwilling to admit guilt and allow a working class family to recover an automobile ? I think not !
