Robert Reich was my Mother's attorney in a lawsuit against a lessee who removed oil field equipment and material without authorization from her property. Initially she filed a complaint with the Brown County, TX, Sheriff's Department and, after having the charges dropped when the lessee said he would return the property, reopened the case 10 months later when he failed to return the equipment and didn't return the material in the right quantity or condition. The Brown County District Attorneys office would not take legal action, was generally uncooperative and rude to my 85 year old Mother, lied and mislead her about the law and she was force to present the case to the grand jury on her own, but the DA's office didn't support it so it was no billed. If you are elderly and have a property crime committed against you in Brown County, TX, do not expect much sympathy or help from District Attorney Murray and his staff. We then contacted Mr. Reich who promptly filed civil legal action against the lessee. Mr. Reich knows the law extremely well, is the ultimate professional, and was kind and sympathetic to my Mother. He quickly navigated the case through the system to trial. He effectively selected witnesses and skillfully examined the defendant and destroyed his defense. The end result she won her day in court and had peace of mind when she had decided there was no justice in Brown County, the place she had lived most of her entire adult life. Robert Reich has our highest recommendation as a lawyer and highest regard as a thoughtful and caring person.
