Called to get some advice on towing law. The man answering the phone, who identified himself as the office manager, informed me that consultation to see if they would take the case was $100 and scheduled me for two days later in the afternoon. When I asked about the fee, and if they were to take the case would it be added to the suit as a way to recoup the cost, he became evasive and when I simply asked for a yes or no answer, became abusive. When I then asked for the manager or his supervisor he said that he was going to unscheduled my consultation. I told him that I was going to pay, but that I just wanted clarification on the fee, he kept saying that they do not give free legal advice. When I explained that I understood that he wouldn't give legal advice, but that I simply wanted clarification of what I was about to pay for, he said, that's it, I have unscheduled you and hung up. I called back and got a different individual who also identified themselves as the office manager and explained what had just happened and asked my question. He said that the cost was unrecoverable and I thanked him for being upfront with me, I asked to go ahead and schedule a consult when another person started talking to him about me, I assume the first person, the then told me that the were no longer taking clients as they were to busy. I commented about the coincidence that now that I asked for clarification of what I was paying for that they didn't want to serve me. They once again hung up. I then, out of curiosity had my girlfriend call from her phone and ask for legal advice for a tow, they told her she needs to schedule a $100 consult, I had her ask if they were taking new clients and they said yes. So long story short, once asking for clarification of what the 100 fee got me and if it was recoverable if they took the case, they blacklisted, and lied to me, then pushed the same product, which we still do not know exactly what we get, to my girlfriend. Pretty sure that Honesty and integrity is something that I would expect from a business that deals with law... Not saying that these are bad lawyers, as I never got to speak with them, but their office staff is dishonest and combative/disrespectful, and If that is the image they are comfortable conveying then I would be very worried about trusting their professionalism and ability to represent me.
