Melissa Thomas is more than just competent and effective; she is shrewd and savvy. If I were in trouble, I would seek her representation. Her quite varied experience in life enables an informed point of view rivaled by few in the field.

My experience with Ms. Thomas was very poor. She is in retrospect inexperienced, she is not a negotiator and she did not prepare and plan for my court case in advance. She failed in front of the judge to defend any argument raised in defense during the hearing. Ms. Thomas promised to appeal but it was obvious she never planned to and failed to take any action. She seems to play local politics rather than the interest of her client depending on the attorney and knowing in a small town when you face the same judge and same opposing attorneys’ everyday that she does not take any risk in the courtroom for her client with her peer group. She may have an ulterior agenda. She does not return phone calls and when you are a paying client you would expect normal professional behavior and at least a reply in 48 hours at worst. I now have to get another attorney to fix the problems she was responsible for. She picks and chooses what she does for you when you thought you were being legally represented. Save your money and find another attorney.
