I was very dissatisfied with service at this firm as a 21-year, United States retired, 50% disabled, military veteran. I paid close to $10,000.00 to Mr. Abrams until I was broke and could not pay any longer. Finally representing myself alone, distraught, crying into the microphone in court and in my E-8 uniform I was taken advantage of, grossly ripped off and had 98% of my military retired retainer handed over to my ex-spouse whereas we had never had any children and did not own any house or assets. In short, the 21 years of war service, worldwide, was given away to my ex-spouse worth 1.7 million dollars to spend for the rest of her life on earth. Four years later I again entered the court system at the urging of two veterans groups who classified my case as the #1 possible worst case of treatment to a retired veteran in the history of disbaled veterans in New Jersey. The legal network of the USFSPA felt I had a class action lawsuit for violation of my rights available to me. My case was subsequently reversed and over turned by a different set of three judges and listed as wrong, unfair, imbalanced and that my ex-spouse even spending my military VA disability money (awarded in a judgement) was a criminal act.
