When you hear about unscrupulous, tricky lawyers, these are the people they are talking about. They represent the bank that is foreclosing on my property. Since we are trying not to lose the house, we went to the first hearing and the Court gave us an extension. These lawyers were supposed to send us the notice for the second hearing. To make the story short, we did not receive the notice and the house is going into foreclosure by the end of the month. Their excuse is they sent the notice via first class mail, but noone can prove that, and they know it. By the way, the foreclosure notice, which was also sent via first class mail, was not lost on the mail, that one we received immediately.
It would be stupid for us to miss the second hearing on purpose. Even if we didn't want to keep the property, we could have got another extension.
This shows me how dishonest these greedy lawyers are.
