Lorang Law

Reviews

I retained Lindsey Lorang as my lawyer for my child custody case and would never recommend her to anybody. She doesn't seem to truly care for her clients or their needs. The only time I ever heard anything from her and her law firm was if the opposing party sent some new documents. Whenever I needed to talk with her or ask her questions, she was NEVER available. I was forced to just correspond with her through e-mail, in which I would not get a response from her for about a week. A waste of my time and money. She never gave me any guidance or tips on what I could have been doing to help my case, in fact she stated that there wasn't much of anything to do for my case, stating we had good cause already. She doesn't seem to have a very professional work ethic and seemed very inexperienced. In fact, halfway through my custody case I expressed my concerns about how I felt about her lack of providing me proper counsel because of her lack of guidance and communication, she simply replied by saying, "If you feel that you are not getting proper guidance and counsel then it is time for us to separate." She sent me a form to sign that would allow her to resign from my case, after she had spent approximately $1500.00 of my retainer fee. She tried to leave me high and dry 2 months before my actual hearing, stating that I had enough time to find other counsel. She simply did not care about my child's best interests nor mine. She didn't even try to apologize or try to start doing a better job at pointing me in the right directions. After my custody hearing, all she was able to get me was 1 weekend a month with my child, which is way below the standard for father's visitation rights. Looking back, I should have fired her when I expressed my concerns with her having no sympathy what so ever. I feel I could have represented myself and got the same outcome.

I Retained Karen Ally to represent me from Lorang law a year ago. I was told that due to some kind of conflict she could no longer except my money but would take on my case for free. She let time go by telling me there was nothing we could do about the other party CLEARLY breaking our parenting plan. Finally a year later she says she can no longer help me. I since then have found a new Attorney Who is doing everything he can to help me with my legal problems. Turns out there are thing we can do.I would have preferred to have been told Karen could no longer take may case from the beginning, for it is a year later and nothing has been done.
