My one phone call with this person, Mark Ferguson, was very unpleasant. He was very pompous and rude in a back-handed kind of way. I was looking to retain him for a family law situation in where the biological father was not paying support nor maintaining a relationship with his daughter, yet trying to jump in and out of her life when it pleased him. I was needing MR. FERGUSON to jump in towards the end of my custody case to make sure that my daughter was not ripped from our stable home of all she knows to a ghetto crime filled place in Oakland, CA. I explained as much as he'd let me explain before he would rudely interrupt me to hear only what he wanted to hear. I told him my two previous lawyers, which I will not name on here, that they did not do their job and one of my previous lawyers actually lied to us and tried to push proceedings along without our knowledge so he could get it over with. MR. FERGUSON proceeded to tell me in a round about way he did not believe me / there were red flags, and that he wouldnt be able to take the case. Sadly, MR FERGUSON heard none of the facts in order to really know what was the truth and what was only on file in court this far. He was too afraid to go up against the two other attorneys from what I gathered. It was very upsetting to know that so many attorneys out there will not fight for what is right for even a young child. I have raised my little girl alone and struggled because my ex left us with nothing and never once paid to help out. He was gone and nowhere to be found for many months and at one point up to a year straight with no news of where he was. I pray to God that there are still good lawyers available to help the children in Illinois.
