WASTE OF MONEY! My brother was booked for a simple Parole violation. My family retained this guy to get him out in a timely matter... after 120 days in co. jail (including over Thanksgiving and Christmas 2014), my brother is still locked up. The judicial system is hard enough as it is... DO NOT ADD TO THE MISERY BY HIRING D. NELSON. He will waste your time and hard earned money with laziness and shear indifference... WHEN HE TELLS YOU, "I'M ALL OVER IT, LIKE A CHEAP SUIT"… take his words literal - he's a thief. Examples of his incompetence: He got continuance after continuance, then failed to comply with DA's request for paperwork (submitted it too late) which added to the length of my brothers stay, and then he failed to even get a "time served" order from the judge! I never write reviews, but this had to be shared! You will regret spending even a minute on him!

David Nelson represented my husband in a DUI case in Red Bluff three hours from our home. My husband remained in jail before he was sentenced. David Nelson breached every agreement we made. He knew for three weeks before the court date but did not notify the family. No family or friends were present when my husband was sentenced. It was very important to us that the judge know that he had support from his family. The lawyer then left town for three weeks on vacation and didn't even notify the family that my husband had been sentenced and incarcerated. We found out days later by a sheriff on a voice mail message that his personal belongings needed to be picked up or they would be thrown out. When we finally got a hold of David Nelson, he said" Sorry you weren't happy with my services." David Nelson is totally unprofessional and charged thousands for his services.
